Metastorm Community Central Resources Are On The Move ...

[ Edited ]

On October 21, Metastorm Community Central (MC2) resources such as documentation, software downloads, and patches (hotfixes) were moved to the OpenText Knowledge Center.

The Knowledge Center or "KC" is OpenText's self-service support portal for customers and partners. It is also the official source for OpenText software downloads, patches, and product documentation.

Although the resources will have moved, you will still access them from MC2 just as you do today. All other resources remain in the community, including the product discussion boards and the knowledge base. In addition, MC2 remains the entry point for the Customer and Partner Zones and the ProVision Support site.

As part of this transition, you may be required to log on to OpenText Connect — using your existing MC2 user name and password — in order to access the content on the KC.

What's Staying the Same
Some community resources like customer forums, the knowledge base, your suggestions for product enhancements, and blog articles will remain on MC2. You will not need to log on to OpenText Connect to continue to access these resources.

Re: Metastorm Community Central Resources Are On The Move ...

It seems that they haven't been moved so much as REmoved! We now only have access to documentation, no downloads.

This needs sorting urgently!

Also, what about all this repeated login when trying to access resources across MCC and the KC?

There was a supposedly great release due today. Then the Partner and Customer zones just block us all. But of a Fail, I think!

Hi Community,

Some people are experiencing problems and we are working to get them corrected.  In the meantime, if you need access to something from the Partner or Customer Zones, then please email helpdesk@metastorm.com and they will help you.

Thank you for your patience!

Hi Community,

We believe that we have fixed all of the technical issues brought to our attention, but there may still be some individual issues remaining.  Feel free to contact communityadmin@metastorm.com with any problems.

Best Regards,

Sorry to disappoint Chuck but it's still not correct. It seems that documentation and patches are available for download but in most cases new version downloads are not.  This is very much as it was earlier today.

It is particularly disappointing when this significant change to access has been scheduled to coincide with a significant Metastorm release, not the best bit of planning I would suggest!

Hi Paul, I will email you offline.  Perhaps it is a permissions issue with your account.  We will get you fixed.

Cheers,

Chuck

Re: Metastorm Community Central Resources Are On The Move ...

Just sent screen shots to OpenText Support since the link to Downloads appears to be broken nor does the Downloads link on the Solutions page list anything.

The change to (what looks to me like) Sharepoint style pages will take some adjustments, but once they all work it should be ok.

Hi Brian,

We didn't get an email at communityAdmin@metastorm.com, but we did take a look at your account and fixed it.  Let us know at CommunityAdmin what the results are.  I also sent you an email about this.
