Deleting old versions of deployed solution

Hi All I'm trying to perform a bit of housekeeping and would like to remove / delete some old versions of a deployed solution from last month. I tried to do this via the admin tool but it just seems to sit there and do nothing. Had a quick look through the stored procs and there is a stored proc to delete a procedure completely but none that delete old / previous versions only! I could just delete the records from eProcedure and eAssembly but thinking this will leave orphaned records in eMap, eMapSubProcess, eStage, eAction, eForm etc Anyone of you folks tried this? Thanks Jas

Re: Deleting old versions of deployed solution

I have used the Admin web site to successfully delete old versions.  I'm not sure why yours isn't working?  Did you try running a SQL trace?

Re: Deleting old versions of deployed solution

Enhanced Security configuration of IE8 on Server 2008. Go to the Server Manager and click Configure IE ESC > Disable the ESC for Administrators (assuming you are logged onto the machine as Administrator). The clicks in the modal pop up dialogs should now work. You can turn it back on after deleting your old projects.

Re: Deleting old versions of deployed solution

I did try messing around with IE security settings and turning enhanced security off in there but it did not work. Then tried turning it off from Server Manager as sugegsted and it appeared to work but when I reset the security back in the browser it stopped working again. So it appears you need to turn of enhanced security configuration from server manager and change security settings in the browser on the server (not sure which ones as I  dont have time to investigate right now).

But I did get another machine going with access to my engine / iis and although I could successfully delete old versiosn of projects / deployments I noticed that admin does not actually delete the relevant eAssembly record which is a bit of a pain!
