Is it possible to have just one URL for SSO links whether or not you are logged in already?

We have two links:

http://<server>/MetastormSSO/eexternalform.asp?service=Metastorm BPM Server&redirect=http://<server>/metastorm/efolder.aspx?folderid=<folderId>%2526Service=Metastorm BPM Server%2526Client=External

http://<server>/metastorm/efolder.aspx?folderid=<folderId>&Service=Metastorm BPM Server&Client=External

Clicking on the first opens the folder

Clicking on it again causes it to fail, asking for a login, and seemingly does not accept it anyway.

Clicking on the second at this point works.

If there is no current session open, the second fails as per above.

How can we get one URL to work whether or not the user is logged in already?

Re: Is it possible to have just one URL for SSO links whether or not you are logged in already?

Hi Jerome,

I am not sure what the issue is here...

I am using 7.6.3 (Windows 2003 SP2, iis 6.0, ie8) for a test VM.

I use:

http://mbpm1/metastormsso/eExternalForm.asp?service=Metastorm BPM Server&redirect=http://mbpm1/metastorm/efolder.aspx?folderid=0000000000000000000000000000023%2526Service=Metastorm BPM Server%2526Client=External

This opens the folder just fine...

Now i drop the same URL in a new browser window or the same browser window again and the form simple opens again.  Not login requests or anything...

How is my test different to yours?

"How is my test different to yours?"

You tell me. Your URL looks like my first URL, and that fails if you already have a session open.

Sorry Jerome what I meant was, how are you generating your links?  HREF, Windows.Open, etc?

I am just trying to replicate the issue...

[ Edited ]

We just add them to the HTML emails as an href. those I poseted are the source of the two we have tried.

For testing we tend to paste them into a browser oin the client PC as you described.
