Translation errors will occur if the OS does not have the translation tables installed.

Translation errors will occur if the OS does not have the translation tables installed. For example, the ftfping will fail even if the mq-cluster, channels, and queues all look healthy.
On AIX, use lslpp-l to display the iconv files installed. For example:
>lslpp -l | grep iconv
bos.iconv.com 6.1.1.0 COMMITTED Common Language to Language
