The Metastorm Smart Business Workspace is a leading-edge interface designed to take user effectiveness and interaction with Metastorm applications to new levels. It consists of a number of components including end user collaboration, personalization, and mashup functions.
To provide as compelling a user experience as possible, Metastorm Smart Business Workspace (or just “the Workspace”) takes advantage of Microsoft Silverlight (Microsoft’s Rich Internet Application technology). Industry analysts cite composite, highly customizable user interfaces as the future. The Workspace is designed with this in mind. It supports rapid and easy "mashup" of components (called widgets) from within, across and even outside Metastorm applications.

Facing a deadline and need to find an expert on a specific topic? The Workspace provides search and filtering capabilities of people and their skills. It even has built-in algorithms to automatically help you find the right persons and their current availability. Other Metastorm applications leverage this skill information too, such as transforming people skills into a more dynamic element of Metastorm BPM-managed processes.
