Dynamic Labels Coming in SR2!

A frequent request from our users has been to have the ability to easily create dynamic text labels on a form.  I'm happy to say that this will now be available with SR2. 

After you install SR2, you will see two new properties for Label fields.  The caption property has been extended to allow both "Static" and "Calculated" Text values.  Previous versions only allowed static text and when you open existing solutions all of your text fields will appear with this option.  However, by switching to "Calculated", you can now any expression that returns a Text value. 

The second property we have added is a "Field is dependent on another" checkbox to allow you to have the field automatically refresh.  Combined, you can now create labels based on variables and have them automatically refresh.  Here is a sample of what it will look like:

This is just one of several nice enhancements coming in SR2.  Do you have other ideas for our product?  If so, log them here or better yet via the Ideas section.

That is going to make many forms a great deal 'neater', as we can put all those fields like 'Folder details' in formatted labels instead of text fields.

It definitely helps declutter a form by not having the extra box around it.  Glad to hear you approve.
