I am pleased to announce the availability of Metastorm BPM Version 9.0 Service Release 2. Metastorm BPM Version 9.0 Service Release 2 is provided as an incremental update and may be applied to either Metastorm BPM Version 9.0 or Version 9.0 Service Release 1. This release resolves a number of issues reported to our development team. SR2 also includes several minor enhancements and updates requested by our users to improve functionality and usability of features including:
- Enhanced Status Fields that improve functionality and usability including:
- Improved Drilldown – The drilldown properties have been expanded to make it easier for process designers to initiate a new process or to open an Administration Form. In addition to the previous dynamic process, forms and processes can now be linked to directly and data can be directly passed to the new form via a new Parameters property.
- Optionally Display Value – Through the addition of two new properties, the process designer can specify that the value of the field is displayed either to the left or right of the status icon.
- Customizable Tooltips – The rollover message for the icon may now be customized by the process designer to display something other than the standard “Safety, Warning, Danger”.
- Enhanced Gridsthat enable process designers to create more attractive, functional, and usable grids for their end users with two significant enhancements:
- New Status Column Type –This new column type enables process designers to create dynamic graphical indicators within their grids along with built-in drill down capability.
- Multi-Sort Columns – Through the addition of two new properties, the process designer can enable end users to sort on multiple columns within the grid.
- Dynamic Label Fields that better enable process designers to create more attractive forms with dynamic text.
- The ability to Import/Export Projects and Libraries. The Import/Export capability for the Designer has been enhanced better enable process designers working as a team.
