There could be possibility to close the tab, by clicking on mouse wheel.
Another thing is closing tabs with context menu. If i have opened five tabs, and I want to close one of them, i have to click right mouse button on this tab, and chose close.
But If i want to close tab which is not active, designer open this tab (what takes a lot of time) and then close it. Designer shuoldn't switch to tab on right mouse click.
Also with tabs, when opening a new tab (eg clicking on a when action started button from a map), the new tab being opened should appear directly to the right of the one currently being viewed rather than at the very end of the list.
This would follow the the same paradigm that tabbed browsers such as chrome, firefox, internet explorer and safari all adhere to.
The main advantage for this behaviour is that if you open a new tab to make a very quick change and then close it with CTRL+F4, currently you may not be return to where you came from.
Closing a tab always takes a user back to one tab to the left in all tabbed applications I'm familiar with so it makes sense that tabs being spawned should appear to the right of where they came from rather than on the end. If I have a lot of tabs opened, open a new one and then close it it's often confusing to figure out where I was before and time consuming to get back there as metastorm spends a lot of time loading each tab I cycle through.
Not sure about the Close with middle button, but I suppose it could be useful. We use the 'close all except' option a lot, but boy can it take a while if there are a dozen open. Do it before making that cup of tea....
I would very much like the windows to be managed better. It can be very slow when you close one windoww like a Visual Script, and the first one, a large map, pops up, then another one (only sometimes the one you were working on when opening the script, mind you) opens. Then you have to find the one you were actualy on.
When you were working on a C# script inside a Visual Script, add a few steps to that!
I would also like to see the ability to Ctrl-Tab between windows, although I suspect that until it speeds up a bit, it would not be that useful.
I agree with two concepts mentioned here.
1) Right click to close a tab (where right clicking doesn't open the tab first)
2) When opening a new tab it should appear directly to the left of the tab it was opened from. Opening at the end of a long list makes it very difficult to navigate through a solution.
