While I agree with you, it may not be as simple as that. There are probably three types of field we now want:
1. Render HTML (plain text will show as plain text, but in my exp. line breaks are lost)
2. Render as plain text (HTML tags are visible)
3. Render HTML as plain text (this is what you suggest here).
In this last, you need to be sure there is agreement on whether HTML line breaks will be converted to line breaks or not. Code available differs. As I said, it is not as simple as it at first seems. There will be many different needs and Metastorm should tray to make sure that existing functionality will not be affected.
My 2c...
Agreed there should be options for this.
Jerome I agree those three options would be great, however ....
1) The issue with this idea is that the rendering of reports currently uses <li> tags and then css to render. So making this work could be difficult / take more Metastorm development effort.
2) That is how it is currently working, but if options are provided then yes this should become one of the options
3) As Apina suggested, this would be good to have asap as currently reporting on any Rich Text fields within Metastorm become un-readable to the everyday user.
As far as priority I would vote to implement option 2 and 3 first.
