Hi
I feel your frustration. Two approaches work reasonably well for this. The 3rd i've added as someone may try to tell you that the answer - trust me - it isn't.
(1) I have used a custom "palatte" object which I've added as a subject to all the models I can. I've then created a Navigator and added the common format styles we apply. I can than copy in the relevant 'palatte' objects and use them to format copy style, and they can double as a legend key if needed.
(2) Create an object of the type you want to copy in the model that has the style you want, with a name like "DELETE ME". Format copy the style you want to it, and then cut the object and paste it into the model tou want to format. Format copy the style and then delete the object once you are done with it.
(3) There is also the "set style for all objects instances" tab in the format style box. This I don't recommend using as it produces unexpected results. I've been documenting and reportin bugs with this for about 4 years now and the fixes usually don't fix what was reported. Anyway it will not change any style already set manually for an object. So if I set the style for all object instance on "SYSTEM A" in Model X, it also changes in Models Y and Z. However later to change it you would need to remeber that you changed the style of SYSTEM A in model X, as if you change it in either model Y or Z, the instacne of the object in model X will stay as set. We were using this to set a manual conditional format for our systems and other objects however it rapidly become a nightmare. Unfortunately conditional formating has been long promised and is even under development if one is to believe this ideas register but it's still not with us.
Drag the object that you like the style of to the Gallery Objects tab to create a new Gallery Item. Then in the other model drag the Gallery Item over the object that you’d like to change.
