Designer, Raise Flag command -- show the parameter names

Status: New Idea
by on 12-15-2011 02:46 PM

The designer is providing no indication how many parameters this flag has, what they are named, what type is expected, etc. Lots of opportunity for error here.

Not sure what you mean by this. If you define a strongly typed flag with parameters the parameters for the flag are shown in intellisense. I don't tend to use visual scripting but my recollection is that they are exposed here as well.

strongly typed flag does not allow to run flag for specified folder, it does not contains folderid parameter (or I just missed something)

This is also my understanding. I guess it would be good for Metastorm to extend the strongly typed flag to include the target folder - this ought to be quite straight-forward

I have to agree. I think this would not only be useful, it would obviate almost every occasions where we need to use the RaiseFlag command, making development much simpler.
