In knowledge exchange server (6.2.2) I ticked the box against a notebook marked 'Do not allow modifications'. That caused a Java NullPointerException but that's probably irrelevant.
The problem is that I cannot now untick this box. When I do so, and click on 'Update', I get the error "You do not have permission to change the contents of notebook 'XXX'. Please contact your system administrator."
I am the system administrator. If this operation is supposed to be immutable it needs to come with a very clear warning message that the operation cannot be undone.
Any ideas?

Hi Alan,
You should be able to un-check that box. Do you have the Null Pointer Exception stack trace?
Thanks,
Matt

OK, this is the stack trace that I get every time I make a note readonly and click Update.

Note that if I then click OK (to acknowledge the exception), browse to another tab and then back to the Detail tab, the modification box is ticked.
I'm not too worried about the exception (although I understand it could be a contributing factor), its the inability to untick the modification box that's annoying my users!

Hi Alan,
This issue has been addressed in KE v6.2.2 Hotfix 2.
Best Regards,
Matt Michael
