Data Integrator 4.4.1 has been released. Be sure to read the complete release notes for complete details. I have provided some of the important new features, changes and resolved issues.
Important Information, New Features, and Changes in this Release:
Userid validation without password on –su enabled components for UNIX/Linux platforms
The stanza PasswordValidation has been added to the ftfconfig.ini file. When PasswordValidation=On is set, userid and password validation is enabled. Userid and password must be specified on the transfer request. When PasswordValidation=Off is set, only userid validation is enabled. The userid is the user that submits the request. If PasswordValidation is not set, the default value is On. If userid and password are passed by way of -sid/-spw and/or -did/-dpw, userid and password validation will take place, overriding the value of the PasswordValidation stanza in the ftfconfig.ini file.
ACTION REQUIRED: To enable this feature, set the stanza PasswordValidation=Off under the FTFNodeDefault header.
Win32 Installation Changes
The Data Integrator 4.4.1 Win32 Server and Client installations are now packaged with an updated version of InstallShield. In order to preserve previous ini file changes and MMC Explorer Queue Manger, Request, and Directory Monitor definitions, the following steps must be followed:
1. If upgrading from Data Integrator 4.3.6 and below, export the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CommerceQuest\e-Adapter
If upgrading from Data Integrator 4.4.0 and higher, export the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Metastorm\e-Adapter
2. Make backup copies of the ftfconfig.ini, ftf.ini, and ftfdirmn.ini
3. Uninstall old version of Data Integrator
4. Using regedit, import the file from step 1. back into the registry.
5. Install new version of e-Adapter. When the dialog "Would you like to import the sample e-Adapter Exit Definitions?" appears, select "NO". During the installation, the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CommerceQuest\e-Adapter will be copied to migrated to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Metastorm\e-Adapter
6. Copy the backup copies of ftfconfig.ini, ftf.ini, and ftfdirmn.ini to the Data Integrator installation directory.
