EMAIL Link Issue

Recently, I created a new staging server (Windows 2003 VM) running:

Install Build - 7.6.3.5
Web Build - 7.6.3.1618

In our environment, we have multiple instances of Metastorm running on test boxes all set up the same way but the problem is only occurring on this one staging box.  Since I only am in charge of setting up the server, I have no knowledge of the use of Metastorm so I am lost on this problem.  Our programmers are stating that they are experiencing an issue when writing code.  Specifically, this code:

%EMAILlink:=<a href=%Concatenate("http://",%EMAILserver,"/MetastormSSO/eexternalform.asp?service=Metastorm","%%20","BPM","%%20","Server&redirect=http://",%EMAILserver,"/Metastorm/eFolder.aspx?FolderID=","%FolderID","%%2526Client=External")>Click here to view the Metastorm folder</a>

When they apply this code to insert a link into the form, the whole folder is not created.  When the code is commented out, the folder is fine.(Minus the intended link of course)

I have gone through the whole installation procedure multiple times and I don't see where I missed anything.  Is it possible that a Windows Update is causing this?

Re: EMAIL Link Issue

I do recall there have been issues with strings being interpreted as numbers or relational operators in certain builds. In this case,m starting with the 'greater than' symbol is probably the culprit.

It does imply that your setup is not identical to your other setups.

I would try the following, in any case:

%Concatenate("<a href=","http://",%EMAILserver,"/MetastormSSO/eexternalform.asp?service=Metastorm","%%20","BPM","%%20","Server&redirect=http://",%EMAILserver,"/Metastorm/eFolder.aspx?FolderID=","%FolderID","%%2526Client=External",">Click here to view the Metastorm folder</a>")

Re: EMAIL Link Issue

Jerome:

Thanks for the quick response!  I had one of our programmers try that code this morning.  Unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue.
