Can Metastorm Provision version 6.1 be installed on WIN7 machine, i am getting an error "The current version not compatible" with WIN7. Please suggest if any workaround? Thanks in advance.
Please note, ProVision v6.1.x is unsupported to run on Windows 7. I would advise upgrading to v 6.2.4 if you would like to run ProVision on Windows 7.
There is a workaround though. You can change the installer to run in compatibility mode (Right click the installer -> Properties -> Change the compatibility mode to something like WindowsXP). To run PV in this compatibility mode you will need to connect to a Floating License Server as a Remote Desktop Protocol session gets invoked (basically Win7 creates a virtualized WinXP session to run the installer and subsequently run ProVision). Node locked licensing does not work if RDP gets invoked.
